Basic Skin Care Routine for Men

Like cosmetics, skin care is seen as a world of women. Very few men are interested in this issue. However, that is a misconception. Because men inherently have more oily skin than women, which means they need to be cleaned more thoroughly.

Determine your skin type

The first step in the skin care process is to identify the type of skin. According to dermatologists, the easiest way to do this is to use a test paper. Wash your face with a gentle solution, dry and wait for about 5 minutes. Then, use oil blotting paper to bring it to your face and observe. If the paper is dry, it means you have dry to sensitive skin. If you have oil, you have oily skin. And if the paper is moist, it means you have a combination of skin. Once you know your skin type, the next step is to choose the right product.

Buy own skin care products

Many boys still have a habit of sharing skin care products with their mothers, sisters or lovers. This is not necessarily bad, but you have to be careful. Men and women skin care products are actually quite different, not just marketing on the packaging. Usually, men’s skin tends to pour more oil and thicker than female skin. It is the foundation for pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to make their own products for men. Thus, instead of using what’s already in the bathroom, you should go to the store to find the right product for you.

Wash your face twice a day

Most dermatologists recommend washing your face twice a day. It sounds like a lot, but in fact this is very necessary, especially for men in their 20s because the skin tends to produce more oil. However, if you own dry skin, you can just wash your face with clean water in the morning because the skin is only greasy in the night, not absorbing more dirt.
